AP Testing Information - May 2018


Attention Students & Parents/Guardians: Please use this information to prepare for AP testing procedure and protocol. College Board regulates the specifications and administation of Advanced Placement (AP) examinations. 

Please see your AP teacher if you have any questions or concerns regarding AP testing.

Registration for May 2018 is now CLOSED

​Registration for 2018 AP exams was open from Feb. 1 to March 23 via the registration link that was on the home page of the school website.
Late registration is not permitted. Students are responsible for any fees, including returning unused exams.

Pre-ID Sessions 

Preadministration Sessions will be required to complete prior to the exam date. A student will only need to attend one of the sessions to prepare their answer document(s) and complete the basic identification process.
​

Students will be ASSIGNED ONE of the following sessions:
​Wednesday, April 25 (Morning Session 1: 8:30 AM, Session 2: 9:00 AM)
Wednesday, May 2 (Morning Session: 9:00 AM)
Thursday, May 3 (Afterschool Session: 3:10 PM )

What to Bring to the Exam

All Exams:
  • Several sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers for answer sheet
  • Pens with black or dark blue ink for free-response questions
  • 6-Digit School Code: 054702 (RMHS)
  • A watch with no internet access, beeping, or alarms​
Specific Exam Requirements:
  • Up to two approved calculators for AP Biology, Calculus AB/BC, Physics, and/or Statistics exams: exploreap.org/calculatorpolicy
  • A ruler or straightedge for Physics. Protractors are not allowed.
Optional/Conditional Requirements:
  • Social Security Number (SSN - optional)
  • If approved for testing accommodations, bring your SSD Student Accommodation letter to verify approval.

What NOT to Bring to the Exam

  • Electronic devices: smartphones, smartwatches, laptop, tablet, computers, listening or recording devices, cameras, etc. There are absolutely no electronic equipment allowed during the testing session, with the exception of language exams with school equipment provided.
  • Books, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, No. 3 pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes, or colored pencils
  • Scratch paper
  • Watches that beep, alarm, or internet access
  • Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions
  • Ear plugs
  • Clothing or shoes with subject-related information
  • Food or drink
  • Clipboards

Please get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast or lunch, and come in confident!
