RMHS Library Media Center Policies
* A visible student ID is required in order to use the Media Center facilities and check out items.
Library Borrowing Policies:
• Students with clear library accounts may borrow up to 3 library books at a time.
• Students who owe fines/fees under $5 are limited to 1 book checkout.
• Students who owe fines/fees in excess of $5 may not check out library books without making a payment.
• All overdue library books must be returned in order to check out additional library items.
• Library books are due 2 weeks from the checkout date.
• Library books may be renewed up to 3 times on or before the due date as long as there is no waiting list
for the title. Fines must be paid in order to renew after the due date.
• Overdue fines are 10 cents per day.
Technology Usage:
• Students must present their ID card and sign in at the circulation desk in order to use a computer.
• Students must have a signed Student Use of Technology Agreement on file in order to use RMHS
technology.
• Use of Media Center computers for entertainment purposes is not acceptable during class time.
• Computer use for recreational purposes is permissible before school, during lunch, and after school as
long as other students do not need the computers for research or assignment completion and
computer activities remain school appropriate.

• Students who have a balance in excess of $10 on their Media Center account will be placed on the school
exclusion list for certain school activities and will not be allowed to participate without paying on their
account.
